B.J. Waymer is the Founder and CEO of B.J. Waymer Associates, Inc. a results-focused firm specializing in local market and national issue-driven community programming that requires strategic development and thoughtful project execution. Our expertise includes constituent needs assessment and the development of strategic alliances with businesses, communities, governments, and non-profit leaders to form local partnerships that support sustainable community outreach programming in business, sports, and philanthropy.

In 2015, Waymer was contracted to create a supplier diversity initiative for the National Football League. The program, named Business Connect, is charged with creating contract opportunities for event-experienced minority-, women-, veteran-, persons with disabilities-, and LGBT-owned businesses with the capacity to provide subcontracting services for NFL special event contractors at Super Bowl, Pro Bowl, and the NFL Draft. In 9 years, the Business Connect program activated in 15 markets, facilitating $60+ million dollars in contracts for local diverse businesses.

Waymer has worked as a consultant and special projects producer for the NFL since 2003. She has worked Super Bowl and Pro Bowl for the NFL’s Events, Marketing, and Corporate Social Responsibility departments in many capacities including program ideation, development, and activation. She also consults for NFL Foundation on its Player Foundation Grant program.

In 2021, Waymer Associates was contracted to lead the development of the Business Connect program for the Los Angeles Sports & Entertainment Commission. Business Connect serves as the official supplier diversity program for the high-profile, globally recognized sporting events LASEC has attracted to LA.

Waymer is a skilled communicator with more than 25 years of event, media, community affairs, and program development expertise. Prior to forming Waymer Associates, she was a member of the NFL Carolina Panthers football team’s inaugural franchise management team. She served as the Director of Community Relations where she designed and implemented all phases of the team’s community outreach platform, including community relations programming, player community involvement, and team off-the-field imaging.  She designed the strategic giving plan and funding protocols for Carolina Panthers Charities, initiated, developed, and grew community partnerships, developed the team’s off-the-field media program, and created cause marketing initiatives for sponsors.

Waymer started her career as a TV journalist.
